The Killers - Sam's Town album cover evaluation

The Killers - Sam's Town

- Black and white camera filter gives contrast to the colourful album title.

- Very sexualized woman in bikini with goat suggests that "Sam's town" is a fairly run down place to be, if not homely despite this. Rusted/rotting building or hut in the background further suggests this.

- Classic band logo in title

-Target audience may be people aged between 16 and 30, as the sexualized woman on the cover may be unsuitable for a younger audience.

Foo Fighters - Wasting Light album cover evaluation

Foo Fighters - Wasting Light

- Bright colour on a black background make the cover stand out and is very eye-catching.
- Many pictures of the band's faces all gathered together and put into one small area suggests that they are not trying to waste space/light
- Target audience would most likely be anyone between 15 and 40 as the band members are in their mid-40s now.
- Serious look on their face suggests the genre of the music

Media- YMAS Sinners never sleep front cover evaluation

You Me At Six - Sinners Never Sleep
- Black and white colouring suggests negativity and that this album's music is more mature than their previous albums.
- Fairly sexualised woman showing quite a lot of skin, with coloured fingernails.
- Holding up a board with band name and album title on, like the ones at a police station; suggests that she has done something bad/ sinned.
-Wearing black, dark clothing, may connotate that she is bad/ a sinner furthermore.
- Target audience would most likely be around 16 - 25 as the girl in the picture appears to be quite young.
-Doesn't really show any clues about what genre of music it is, although the picture has some sense of attitude.
- Shows rule of thirds; band and album title in the middle, surrounded by picture at top and bottom.
